Perform a synchronization when you update the information stored in Outlook Items or in Microsoft Dynamics NAV Entities. The synchronization process can flow either from Outlook to Microsoft Dynamics NAV or from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Outlook. It includes the creation and parsing of XML-messages, which contain data from Outlook items and Microsoft Dynamics NAV entities defined in the Mapping Schema.
Bidirectional synchronization is also possible. If the synchronization has an Outlook to Microsoft Dynamics NAV direction, then Microsoft Dynamics NAV only receives changes made in Outlook. If the direction is set from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Outlook, synchronization only sends changes made in Microsoft Dynamics NAV. If the direction is set to bidirectional, then synchronization takes place both ways.
