If you have posted an incorrect entry to the insurance coverage ledger, you can correct it by creating a reclassifying entry in the insurance journal.

To correct insurance coverage entries

  1. In the Search box, enter Insurance Journals, and then open the related link.

  2. If a fixed asset has been attached to an incorrect insurance number, you can correct it by entering two lines in an insurance journal. One line with a plus amount and one line with a minus amount.

  3. On the Home tab, in the Process group, choose Post to post the lines.

    After you have posted the lines, the fixed asset will be detached from the incorrect insurance policy and instead attached to the correct one.
